Frequently Asked Questions

1.How Much does it cost?
Youth (ages 7-12) 2011/2012 Fees are $250 per player. Goalies are free except for insurance ($104). Max of 2 per team.

Masters* (30 and over) 2011/2012 Fees are:
$300 for full time players (NOW FULL)
$250 for full time spares (can come to every practice and have first come first serve dibs on games)
Drop ins: $80 for insurance and $10 per drop in. Please note that you will need to notify us in advance to set up the insurance.
Goalies are free except for insurance ($80). Max of 2 per team.

2. How many times per week? The Association tries to supply one ice time per week.  Each ice time is one hour long. League starts in October and runs to mid March.

3. What division will my child/I be in? -

U9 (Bunny) - 8 years old and younger

U10 (Novice) - 8 &- 9 year olds

U12 (Petite) - 10 & 11year olds

U14 (Tween) - 12 & 13 year olds

U16 (Junior) - 14 & 15 year olds

U19 (Belle) - 16,17 & 18 year olds

+18 (Open) - 18 and older

Masters - over 30 years old

4. What kind of equipment? Standard protective hockey equipment - ringette approved face masks are mandatory - it has smaller triangular shaped openings. Click here for a complete list of equipment and purchasing recommendations.

5. Does my child need to know how to skate? NO! Our coaches are prepared to teach ALL players all the skills of ringette and skating to the best of the child's ability.

6. Why join ringette? It's a fun way to learn how to skate and improve skills with lots of exercise. Camaraderie for players and parents.
