Comox Valley Ringette Coach Incentive Program
Comox Valley Ringette Association has developed a program to acknowledge and reward our volunteer coaches for their dedication to the youth of Comox Valley Ringette. For coaches with children playing Ringette with CVRA, this reward program will allow the volunteer coach to receive reduced registration fees in the subsequent season. For coaches that do not have children playing with CVRA, or coaches with children that will age out of youth ringette at the end of the current season, the program will provide a gift card in a corresponding amount.
To be eligible, coaches will need to complete the usual CVRA registration and background check requirements. Also, this incentive is in addition to the opportunity for coaches to have other training costs reimbursed by CVRA (e.g. Community Sport – Initiation, Competition – Introduction and other coaching certification clinics/courses).
Each head coach will receive a $50 reduction on one of their player’s registration for the next regular season ringette program. Each assistant coach will receive a $25 reduction on one of their player’s registration.
When can I redeem my discount? Discounts not redeemed in the season following the season in which you coach will expire. Example: Coach Susan coaches during the 2024/2025 season. Her discount will apply toward the 2025/2026 ringette season at the latest.
How do I qualify for the discount? By volunteering to coach for the season and regularly attending practices (and letting your coaching coordinator and co-coaches know when you can't attend) you will qualify for the discount. You will also need to commit to attending the tournament(s) in the year.
What if I do not have children in the program? Coaches who volunteer for the season but do not have children engaged in the program will be offered a gift card to Happy's Source for Sports or other local store.
What if I have multiple children in the program? Your discount code can only be used once for one registration.
What if I only volunteer for part of the season? Then you have our full gratitude for your time and we hope you can help out next season for your discount!
What if I am head coach on one team, assistant coach on another and manage yet another team? Then you are amazing!! You would qualify for $125 in discounts ($50 for head coach, $25 for assistant and $50 for manager). We would also throw in an all expense paid vacation if we could afford it but you will for sure have our greatest appreciation for your time.
